Cookie Policy
Convertisio itself sets no cookies. This page explains what is stored in your browser, which third-party services may use cookies, and how you stay in control.

What cookies and browser storage are
Cookies are small text files that a website, or a service used by that website, saves in your browser. They are sent back with later requests, which lets the website or service recognise your browser. Local storage and session storage are similar browser features that let a page keep small pieces of information on your device. Unlike cookies, they are not automatically sent to any server. Session storage is deleted when you close the tab.
EU rules (Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive, as implemented in Belgian law) treat all of these in the same way: a website needs your consent to store or read information on your device, unless it is strictly necessary to provide a service you have asked for.
What Convertisio stores
Convertisio itself sets no cookies. It uses at most the following items of browser storage. Each is strictly necessary for a feature you use, is never sent to us, and therefore does not need consent.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
cv-theme | Local storage | Remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme. Only set if you use the theme switch. | Until you clear your browser's site data |
cv-consent | Local storage | Remembers your cookie choices (which categories you accepted or rejected), the version of this policy you answered and the date, so we do not ask on every page. | Until you clear your browser's site data. Your choices are asked again after 6 months, or earlier if the services we use change. |
Third-party cookies and similar technologies
The services below may set or read cookies or similar identifiers. Services that need consent are only loaded after you accept the matching category in the cookie banner.
| Service (provider) | Category | Cookies or storage | Purpose | When |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Adsterra | Advertising | Cookies and similar identifiers set by Adsterra and the advertisers it works with, on their own domains | Delivering ads, limiting repeats, measuring performance and preventing fraud | Only after you accept Advertising |
| Cloudflare security (Cloudflare) | Strictly necessary | __cf_bm (30 minutes) and, after you pass a security check, cf_clearance (typically 30 minutes) | Telling people and bots apart and protecting the website from abuse | Only when Cloudflare's bot protection is triggered; no consent needed |
Cookie names and lifetimes are set by the providers and can change. For details, see the providers' own pages:
- Adsterra's cookie policy: https://adsterra.com/cookies/ and privacy policy: https://adsterra.com/privacy-policy-managed/
- Cloudflare's privacy policy: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/
How to change your choices
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing is as easy as giving consent, and it does not affect processing that took place before.
You can also use the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page. Cookies that third parties set before you withdrew consent may remain in your browser until they expire or you delete them.
Controlling cookies in your browser
- Most browsers let you block third-party cookies, or all cookies, in their privacy settings.
- You can delete cookies and site data for this website at any time. This also removes the items listed in "What Convertisio stores".
- In a private or incognito window, cookies and storage are deleted when you close the window.
The converter itself keeps working whatever you choose.
Changes
We update this policy when the services we use change; the "Last updated" date at the top shows the current version. More about how we handle data is in our Privacy Policy.
